Hansel and Gretel

As a commenter on my Facebook Page commented, this session has now been dubbed Hansel and Gretel.

In my head its a mix of Gone with the Wind, Little House on the Prairie, and now Hansel and Gretel.

I was in despair that I couldn't get out in the garden as storm clouds started rolling in, yet again. I had two choices. I could be sad, and accept a lazy rainy day, or I could dress up these kids and brave a wind with a tiny bit of a bite, and maybe getting a stick in the eye. Since everyone was game, off we went. I may have gotten a few weird looks from some who were rushing to get their dogs walked before the rain (that never actually came! my poor garden!), but the majority were thumbs up and a few grandmotherly sighs.

“I knew there would be rivers to cross and hills to climb, and I was glad, for this is a fair land and I rejoiced that I would see it.”

Enjoy some of my favorite images from this whimsical children's session. As always, outfits are from my client closet and available for use with all full sessions.

Spread out over 2 locations in Grande Prairie, Alberta.
